The Victor Cruz Fumble
The most controversial play of the weekend was made by UMass standout Victor Cruz of the Giants. What do people think? Should this have been ruled a fumble or do you agree with the refs? The "rules" state that "an official shall declare a dead ball and the down ended: (a) when a runner is out of bounds or declares himself down by falling to the ground and makes no effort to advance..." That is exactly what happened but when have you ever seen a ref make this call? If this happened to the Pats and they lost the game I would be pissed. However, since I took the Giants and they literally saved my Sunday, I wholeheartedly agree with this terrific call by the officials. What do you think?
