Nose Face Killah Is Back!

Everyone's new favorite Boston Bruin, Brad Marchand, plans to officially announce a new two year deal worth around five million dollars today.  This move was a no-brainer for the Bruins as Marchand excelled last year as a rookie scoring 21 goals and dishing out 20 helpers.  Not only did he help his line produce goals, he also wasn't shy to get under the other teams skin.  If Marchand wasn't on our team we would all hate him for the way he plays.  He reminds me of a Scott Hartnell from the Flyers.  He is the guy that opposing teams hate but since he is on our team we love him.  I'll always remember him sucker punching one of the Sedin sisters repeatedly in front of the referee. Or how about when he ducked a hit and took out Sedin by his legs?
Fans voted Marchand to win the 7th player award for "going above and beyond expectations" and his number 63 jersey was the number one seller last year.  Expect to see plenty of Marchand jerseys this coming season especially since he is going to be around for two more years.  The deal makes sense for the Bruins but we could have offered him a longer contract, especially for all work he did for us last year, scoring two goals in the Stanley Cup clincher.  Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli and Marchand expect to make a 4:45 conference call confirming the details of the signing.
