Ron Artest officially changed his name to Metta World Peace today after having a hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court. Metta supposedly means friendship, love and kindness. Artest wants Metta to be his first name and World Peace to be his last name that appears on his jersey. Does he really expect a ton of sales of World Peace jerseys?
I don't even know what to think of Ron Artest anymore. One year he is fighting fans in the stands. Then he wins a championship with the Lakers and sells his ring almost immediately for charity. Now he is changing his name to Metta World Peace. Say no to crack ladies and gentlemen, just say no.
