Pats and Red Sox Choking Together

With the Red Sox season fading faster than Lebron's hair line, Boston fans have turned to the 2-0 Patriots to alleviate their pain.  As the Red Sox trailed the entire first game of their double header today to the Yankees, the Patriots quickly jumped out to a 21-0 lead and were seemingly in full control, on their way to improving their record to 3-0.  Not so fast said the "Amish Rifle" Ryan Fitzpatrick and the rest of the Buffalo Bills as they intercepted Tom Brady four times and tied the game 31-31.  Next thing you know the Bills had all the momentum and were running the clock out to set up a chip shot field goal to win the game.  What happened?
If you went out to run some errands, or in my case, left the house to go out to eat for my mother's birthday, you may have missed the game.  The Bills seemingly had no chance in this game, as the Pats jumped out to 21-0 lead, leaving a stunned Buffalo crowd in silence.  Brady had three touchdowns in the half and the defense had two interceptions.  How the Bills were able to come back on this team is pathetic for our offense and defense.  Our defense is known to give up a lot of points but how our offense was stifled to 10 points for the rest of the game is beyond me.  We didn't play the Ravens, Steelers, Jets or any other legit defense. This was the friggen Buffalo Bills.  The Bills haven't beat the Patriots in 15 tries, not since Lawyer Milloy and company took Brady's head off back in 2003.  What's gonna happen when the Pats play a legit team like the Jets, Ravens, Steelers?  Are they just gonna fold like they have the past few seasons?  We should have never lost this game today and Belichick is going to rip them a new one this week.  Four quarters.  This is the NFL, just because you are up 21-0 doesn't mean the game is over.  Every play and every penalty is crucial and I am sure Belichick will drill this into the player's minds this week.
We should have won this game today and we would have had sole possession of first place because the Jets lost today.  Instead, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bills are in first place and they have the whole nation thinking they are the real deal.  While they may have beat us fair and square, we showed that we could have, and should have destroyed them.  We will take this loss as a great learning lesson and hopefully we'll be a better team in the long run by getting this loss out of the way this early in the season.  We are playing Oakland next week, who are coming off an impressive 34-24 win over the Jets today and we will have to be on our A game to beat them.  The Bills beat the Raiders in similar come from behind fashion as they beat us today.  There is plenty of football to be played and plenty of time for Belichick to help this team perform better.  Let's just hope this year doesn't end like the past few seasons.  On the bright side, Bruins won their preseason game 6-3 last night.
