Rolling Stone Magazine: Eminem is King Of Hip Hop

In a recent survey, Rolling Stone Magazine determined that Eminem is the "King of Hip Hop" at this very moment.  Determining factors were album sales, rankings on the R&B/hip-hop and rap charts, YouTube views, social media, concert grosses, industry awards and critics' ratings.  Rolling Stone Magazine only used a time frame of 2009 til present day to determine who was "King" at this very moment.  The finalists of the survey, in alphabetical order, include Outkast's Big Boi, Diddy, Drake, Eminem, Fabolous, Lupe Fiasco, Gucci Mane, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, T.I., Waka Flocka Flame, Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa.
Eminem being named "King of Hip Hop" isn't a big shocker to anyone but hearing it from critically acclaimed Rolling Stone Magazine makes it more official.  Eminem sold more than two and a half times as many albums than the second ranked Lil Wayne with 7.5 million.  Jay-Z finished third in the survey and ranks among the greatest rappers of all-time, if not musicians, as he has 11 Number One Albums on Billboards Top 200, behind only The Beatles with 20.
The survey is very interesting and has some great facts about these artists as Rolling Stone discusses how they determined the "King of Hip Hop."  To read the article in its entirety click here
